Land Gratitude
I'm grateful to live in two beautiful and sacred places, both with deep Indigenous roots:
We live amid the oaks and pine tree of the Kettle Moraine Forest in Southeastern Wisconsin. I honor that this area is on the traditional lands of the Peoria , Sauk and Meskwaki , Potawatomi and Očeti Šakówiŋ (Sioux) peoples.
We live in a grove of moss-covered live oaks on Amelia Island in Florida near the Atlantic Ocean, the traditional home of the Timucua, Mvskoke (Muscogee) and Miccosukee peoples.
